As part of your health care you may be required to provide blood or specimens for a laboratory test or visit a clinic for other tests.

Working days between 8.00 and 10.00 you can come to the surgery to have your blood taken or to deliver specimens. In case you want to have your blood taken another time you can go to atal.

Most test results are normally available after a few days, however, some test results may take longer.

In certain circumstances the GP may ask you to make an appointment at the time the test results are available.

If you telephone for a test result, the reception team can only tell you if the results are normal.  If any other indicators are marked on your test results you will be advised to either make an appointment with your GP, or asked if you would like telephone advice.    If you opt to discuss your results by telephone, the GP or the receptionist will ring you back with the results.

The practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. We will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data.
